SLSA IMPACT PRIZE

In 2023 the SLSA Board of Trustees created a prize to recognize and celebrate excellent non-academic impact resulting from socio-legal research. The prize was awarded for the first time in 2024.

NOMINATIONS

This annual prize worth £250 is awarded to recognise and celebrate excellence in non-academic impact arising from socio-legal research. The deadline for nominations is 6 October 2025. The shortlist will be published in February each year and the winner will be announced at our Annual Conference in the spring.

All nominees and nominators must be current members in good standing of the Socio-Legal Studies Association

Nominations must be made via our online form. Note: if you need the rules or the form in an alternative, accessible format, please contact the SLSA Administrator

Nominees and nominators need to be fully paid-up members for the year of nomination. Fees are payable through the members’ area of the website. Contact the SLSA Administrator for queries about membership fees. If your fees are due during the period of the competition (between November and end of March), you will be asked to pay your future fees prior to acceptance of your application. If a nominee or nominator is not a member in the year of nomination, they are welcome to join immediately.
