We are delighted to share details of the SLSA Postgraduate Conference 2026, hosted this year by the Centre of Law and Society, Cardiff University, on 8–9 January 2026.

The conference is fully funded (covering accommodation, conference fee, dinner and lunch). As such, you only need to fund your travel to Cardiff and back. We do require a £20 deposit to secure your place which will be refunded when you attend the conference.

Building on the tradition of past PGR conferences, this event provides a welcoming space for socio-legal postgraduate researchers at the start of their PhD journeys to share ideas, ask questions, form networks and friendships, and reflect on academic careers in socio-legal research. There is also voluntary opportunity to make a short presentation regarding your research and receive feedback on your presentation style. Please see the attached programme schedule for more details.
