The Centre for Law and Society is a research centre at Lancaster University that facilitates the interdisciplinary study and teaching of law and society, and law and legal institutions.
Established in May 2006, the centre supports the following activities:

faculty research and publications;

graduate student scholarships;

visiting scholars;

conferences;
-
workshops;
-
regular faculty seminar series.
It is developing contacts with major universities and law and society institutions internationally, and between the academic world and the worlds of legal practice, politics, business and social movements.
