Student members
The SLSA welcomes undergraduate and postgraduate student members. We recognise the difficulties and pressures on students as they set out to establish themselves as serious academic researchers. For this reason, the SLSA provides practical help for students in several ways.

Membership for students costs just £20 per year and the first year's membership is free. - SLSA postgraduate rep

Students are invited to a free annual conference which consists of two days of workshops and seminars conducted by senior members of the SLSA. The conference moves around the UK. The next one will be held at the London School of Economics, University of London, 6–7 January 2011. - SLSA annual conference
Students can attend the SLSA annual conference at a heavily discounted rate. The next annual conference is Brighton 2011s. - Bursaries
Bursaries are available for student members to offset some of the costs of attending our annual conference and other selected events.
