Student bursaries
One of the ways in which the SLSA supports its student members is by providing bursaries for attendance at our annual conference and occasionally other selected events. Student members are warmly invited to apply for the bursary scheme.
Annual conference bursaries
The SLSA bursary fund for Leicester 2012 is expected to be £2500. We are very grateful to the following sponsors for their contribution towards this valuable scheme. The bursary fund is made up of:
- £1000 from the Journal of Law and Society
- £1000 from Wiley-Blackwell
- and £500 from Social and Legal Studies, Sage Publishing.

If you are not yet a member, you can apply to join the SLSA at any time. The first year's membership for students is free.
Other bursaries
From time to time, the SLSA Executive Committee also provides a limited number of student bursaries for other selected events with a socio-legal theme. News of these bursaries will be announced via the SLSA bulletin board and email network and uploaded to this area as soon as details are availble.
